“Personal transformation can and does have global effects. As we go, so goes the world, for the world is us. The revolution that will save the world is ultimately a personal one.” -Marianne Williamson

Awaken the Greatness Within

Why Transform Personally

Have you ever considered the difference between development and transformation? In the article, Developmental Growth and Transformation: A Distinction, I write about the distinction between development and transformation. Simply, development means taking in new concepts and adding them to how we already think and believe.

Transformation on the other hand, means actively questioning how we think, and what we believe, and regularly transforming those thought patterns, and beliefs into actions that we then take. Fun.

Are development and transformation mutually exclusive? No. You can be both interested in development and transformation, and actively pursue each. Or, you can only pursue one. And, either way you choose, you can receive the coaching you desire here.

What Transform Personally

In my personal and professional life, I’ve developed and transformed. Important. In order to coach another human being, the coach must have both conceptual knowledge about the subject matter, and must have lived it. Experienced it, and practiced it. A must. What then do we cover in coaching sessions? There is really only one topic. The self – YOU.

Wherever you are stuck, whatever you are looking to accomplish, we will take an iterative approach to getting you unstuck and moving again. In any area of your life, both personal and or professional.

In the article, 4 Things to Notice and 4 Ways to Move Yourself From Stuck to Unstuck, I write about 4 things to notice and 4 ways to move yourself from stuck to unstuck. If you are wondering about how I think, I invite you to read that article. See what you think, and how you feel about it. Both how you think and how you feel are important.

The head and heart are both topics we will cover. Distinction? Of course. The head, your intellectual knowledge. How you think about yourself, and your place in this world.

The heart, your intuition. How you feel about yourself and place in this world. Both are important, and discussing both are needed and necessary. How do I know? Again, experience.

I was disconnected from my heart for a long time. Meaning that I was not in touch with my intuitive-self. Not the case today.

Because I’ve been disconnected, however, I know what to look for, and how to begin to make those connections. Really important.

Many people, in the United States especially, are disconnected. If this is you, you are not alone.

Though all development and transformation takes time, it is really all about how open you are.

Being open is a necessary and needed component in any developmental or transformational context. A must.

Though humans don’t like change all that much, and some, in fact, actively avoid it, know that change is always all around us. Always. We are, in fact, changing all the time, even though we believe we are not. A paradox? Yes. And the world is full of them. Normal. How do you get started?

How Transform Personally

In conversations I have with the team I lead, I often say, we don’t have to make a choice today. Feels good, yes? Yes, because we all need time to reflect upon and consider all of our options. I invite you to do the same.

There are thousands of life coaches out there. It is very important for you to see someone that is the right fit for you. If you are seeing someone now, and they disagree with that sentiment, leave them. Please.

Find someone that is open, flexible, and understands both the head and the heart. If you are shopping around, or are ready to be in conversation with such a someone, I invite you to reach out to me. Know that if the fit is not right, there is no demerit for it being so. Though I suspect the fit will be fine. 🙂
