I have a similar photo I took of a bee in a flower when I was in NM. And I remember seeing a similar nights sky in Up-state NY several (many) years ago. Too much light pollution where I am to see the Milky Way now. But I did get to see the two tailed comet out my window years ago. And I also get to see the Pleiades (The Pleiades star cluster – also known as the Seven Sisters or M45 – is visible from virtually every part of the globe. … It looks like a tiny misty dipper of stars. If you’re familiar with the famous constellation Orion, it can help you be sure you’ve found the Pleiades.) The Pleiades look fabulous through a telescope – I had a crumby telescope…I picked up another one – I hope it is better…

In my area, ‘Frosty November is often called the month of the Pleiades, because it’s at this time that the Pleiades shine from dusk until dawn. But you can see the Pleiades cluster in the evening sky well into April.’

‘To find Pleiades, you can start by locating the famous constellation Orion, the hunter. Draw a line using the three stars in Orion’s belt and then follow it upward, past his bow. The first bright star you’ll see is Aldebaran, the eye of the bull Taurus, according to EarthSky.’ ‘Taurus is most famous for its red giant star, Aldebaran, as well as a star cluster known as the Pleiades.’

  WOW! Thank you for sharing all of this with me, Jules. I don’t know a lot about astronomy, however, have owned a couple of telescopes, and do so love to look up at the stars on clear nights. My oldest son likes astronomy, and teaches me things about the stars, as you just did. Thank you. 🤗🤗🤗

    I only really know a couple of constellations. With information at our finger tips these days it is easy to research and share.
    
    When I was very young I saw a shooting star…I haven’t see too many of them. Except for that two tailed comet that I can’t even remember the name of now 😉
    
    I used to have more sky in my back yard but the trees have gotten that much bigger over the years 😉 The branches are now super highways for the squirrels 😀

    When the branches are over forty or fifty feet long and some of those branches overlap… Those squirrels just take to those highways and there are no stop signs! 😀
