#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days – Day 16: Divine Flight, by Jaya Avendel

I curve toward the milky way

A bird on aliferous wing

Threads cut from cabaret stocking trace

Patterns onto my skin.

The silver bell chimes sharp and mournful

I celebrate the ascendance toward divine

Goddess of love opens the way to heaven

Her blood red rose and sunset eyes

Invite me in.

Cosmic garden blossoms from bone

Water lily rides the coattails of the moon

When I inhale, I taste the world.

It sings to me.

Divine Flight was inspired by the poem Cosmic Arts. You can read more of Jaya’s poetry at Nin Chronicles.
