Writing and Reading

Yep, a busy week, like every week. Phew. Well, I’ve written a couple of pieces this week, and, in case you’ve missed them, here they are again.

  1. A Wisdom Poem
  2. The Social Construction Series Part 6: The Social Construction of Work
  3. The Reflection Series Part 1: What Does it Mean to Be Alive?
  4. An Aliveness Poem
  5. What Does Being Present Really Mean, and Why Does it Matter?
  6. A Presence Poem

Wow. So much fun. I’ve had even more fun writing the poetry lately, which, I think, I’ll continue. Fun.

Right, and now? Well, I’m working on a couple of new pieces. You know, I never do know if an article/post will ever make it to publishing. You know?

Most of them do, yet there are times when they don’t.

Anyway, I am working on two new articles for the social construction series, one on the mind, and then two, which will probably become one, on either gender, or masculinity. Not sure yet.

Speaking of the mind. I am also reading Be As You Are: The Teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi. I just started it this week, and I have to say that it is a powerful expose on the Self. Amazing.

I’ll have more to say about the book at a later date. For now, insights abound inside of the discussion created by the narrator, and Ramana. It is beautiful.

Well, in no way could I have foretold earlier this year, that I would have 200+ of you with me on this wonderful writing journey. And, you know, it’s more than that.

More than writing that is. Much more. How? Yep. Here we go.

The experience I’ve had this year has been unlike any I’ve had before. Why? Well, yes, part of it is the writing. Being back at my computer writing from both my head and heart is, for sure, a wonderful experience.

And, yet, you know what I’ve enjoyed most? Connecting and interacting with each of you. Really. I’ve had such a wonderful time reading all of your work. Such an inspiration. All of you.

From the exposes on spirituality, leadership and self-development, to the wonderful poems, fictions, artwork, pictures, challenges, recipes, and book reviews. All of it. Every single ounce of it. I love it all.

Know this. Ready? Good.

You are very much appreciated. Each of you. For being with me on this journey. From my heart to each of yours, thank you; and, thank you for allowing me to read about you and your life. A wonder.

I look forward to continuing this journey with each of you. As a matter of fact, it’s just about time to go check out what all of you have been up to. Fun.

Right, well that’s about it for this entry. Well, just a minute, one more thing, okay. Ready? Here we go.

Remember, when things get tough, and goodness knows we’ve had a lot of that this year, keep breathing, keep doing, and keep moving yourself forward.

You are an inspiration. You are beautiful. You are loved.

Have a wonderful evening, and a lovely Sunday.

A Blogger’s Diary 10/18/20: Sunday Night Reflection

Photo by Casey Horner on Unsplash

As we leave this week behind, and prepare for the week ahead, I wanted to take a moment to thank each of you for the wonderful posts, comments, conversations, and interactions these past 6-months.

I’ve found a wonderful community, filled with light and love, and I appreciate each of you.

I’ve been more drawn to poems this past week, so it is only fitting to complete this week with one more. Here then, is

The Light

In times of chaos and
Fickle fancy roars

Stand inside and
Protect the light

Given us to protect
So please take time to reflect

Upon That which is known
Within the unknown

Seemingly two, yet
Is really One

Of many mysteries

Founded upon a legacy
Granted to each of us
Not taken for

Bear in mind and
Mind
That which is seen

For the light is bright
Which comes at night

Though day breaks
In splendid
Created wonder

Of all that is known
And unknown
Both
Come to the light
At the end of their night

Have a wonderful week.
