My cracked heart leaks cold tears
Fears of being alone
spilled nightly across pillows
I awake to sink into sand, directionless
watching waves like mounting thoughts
as wishes of love flee my lips
silenced in morning fog
and loneliness comes home
Until you
a wish comes true…
My palms welcome, embracing gold bliss
Dreams of forever fill my cracked heart
and loneliness lifts
Together, love has a home
spilled nightly across pillows
and every moment of sun
in our gentle life on the shore
moving forward as one
