pain and trauma dwell within trees
just like they do
in you and me, a casual
acquaintance
made from the threads of the breeze
Can you see that we’ve always been, and will always be
part of the same stream?
then, why, I wonder, do we treat nature
differently
estranged and placated
we push away connections
deemed unnecessary
only they are, in fact
a comisc part
of a grand narrative, the seen and unseen
and everything
deep down
we believe ourselves to be
