#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days – Day 9: The Origin of Love, by Cassa Bassa

I sit in the quiet underneath the white oak
watch the rain rolling from my left
edging the sun towards my right
Isn’t that what grief does to us
chipping away the simple things we enjoy
I remain sitting under the tangled arms
unshaken, unmoved, undisturbed
Here is my sanctuary and centre of gravity
where we once hid from the world’s chaos
and found each other locked gaze in awe

The Origin of Love was inspired by the poem Butterfly Love. You can read more of Cassa’s poetry at Flicker of Thoughts.

Devotion

Photo by Ihor Malytskyi on Unsplash

They befall us all,
for it’s a part of being a walking
and breathing kaleidoscope,
on a planet so full of hope.

When they come,
it’s very normal to withdraw,
and look for reasons for this flaw.

Asking questions to the sky above,
yet, that might not be where
the answers are located, my love.

Tragedies are a part of the calamity of
this thing we call life.
They are part and parcel of the
seen and unseen,
and everything in between; conjoined
forever in an illusory dance with,

Blessings

my friend are all around you,
so when you have a moment,
take a minute, and stop. Stop
moving, and just be
with all that surrounds you, and
is within you.
And, in that silence,
listen, feel, and always
keep it real.

Reality holds a lot of promise,
when we move out of the way,
and let go of our preconceived notions.
When we stay in motion,
and let our hearts open,
allowing the silence within to
determine our devotion.

Silence

Photo by Evgeni Tcherkasski on Unsplash

An
Empty space
Full of grace, and

Solitude

Created
For the multitudes

Of humanity

We each share
In this blessing
Which awaits

A discovery

Upon the recovery
Of our true

Nature

Which is
Quite compelling,
And, yes, often telling

A thing forgotten,
Yet not begotten, no

Rather, a reservoir
Full of light, and
Always delight

So, friend

When it’s time
Look inside
And you will find

A space
Already created
Awaiting your return

So take the turn, and
Reclaim the truth
Of your birth

Silence

Empty while full
Ever so subtle, and
Also quite grand

A paradox, yes
Quiet and also
Powerful
, and

Oh so very flowerful
