look to the sky, my love
and let the sun
arise
a flower blossoming in the summertime
for it is in you, I always confide
a whisper, and a prayer
in the meantime
take me halfway home
to you
in my heart and mind

Mountains in the distance,
at times,
itโs how it feels when
we are apart,
not living in this instance.
I look out over the rippling
blue water
waving at me,
shimmering in the partial sun
on a day
that is mostly gone.
And, I feel quiet inside,
as I consider
the measure of our commonness,
and smile in the knowing,
that we
will harness more
time, as needed,
as we prepare
for the next confidence
of our
collective consciousness.

I am reading Eleanor Roosevelt: The Early Years right now. Itโs awesome. Iโve always drawn upon Eleanor Roosevelt (ER) quotes, and have seen biographies about ER, yet reading the book has given me much more to consider, and to reflect upon. Powerful.
If youโve not read much about ER, here are some of my favorite quotes, and a cool American Experience interview I highly recommend with Vernon Jarrett.
โYou gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, โI lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.โ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.โ โ Eleanor Roosevelt

โThe purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.โ โ Eleanor Roosevelt

โTomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.โ โ Eleanor Roosevelt

Here is the American Experience interview.

With all that we face today, it is important to remember that what is now, is now, yes, yet will not always be our present now. Make sense? Said another way, this too shall pass.
Stay healthy and well.
