oranges and limes fill the sky
a scent reminiscent of another time

when love was like a drop of candy in the winter
and the fields were dusty

daffodil dreams

from the tips of my fingers
to the tops of my toes

a flower sits
in repose

calling to me
dejected and forlorn

I compose

myself
and listen to the words whispered
forth

speaking to me of daffodil dreams
and peeks sanguine

in the distance
they seem

like a memory

of another time
when the love you brought to me

was something altogether different
than this fractured reverie

moon night, I shine,
bottomless love is divine…

I had a conversation with the moon once. It was long ago, during a mist-covered evening, I was feeling quite lonely, and out of the ordinary. That evening the moon shined brighter than I’d ever seen.

the road unfolds along a dirt abode, where travelers
come together seeking
shelter

the blue

the sky’s canopy lives in my mind,
restless at any given moment,
yet with the blue
contained
inside
of

this torment, transformation occurs, giving
way to stars that line my veins,
and suns that linger
inside
my

eyes for days

it is
the nature
of life’s canopy
on display

within the heart of you and I, if
we learn to love the pain,
and give it
away

while refreshing ourselves in the sun and stars
of another day…

torrential rain

waves break over my heart, as
a realization
dawns

about the clouds

I’ve traveled near
and far

it’s as if the sky
has always
called
me

from the very
start

drawing me closer, I listen,
and learn about the
moisture

within my
veins

it was
always cloistered

yet clearing the pain kept at bay,
opens me up, like
the sky

the fragrance delivered…

I’ve seen you, the mirror bestood
the shelled husk, and
the ground spoke
in tones
musk

scent delivered, atmosphere tense,
boiling over imminent

as presence fills my being with a firmament,
languid colors
arise

it is
the nature
of everyone
to despise, yet

love is always there, hiding in the alcoves
of hearts and
minds

remove
the fragrance delivered,
and let love
reign
far,
and wide…
