Vast sand dunes at sea,
Such a juxtaposition.
Underneath? The same.

Vast sand dunes at sea,
Such a juxtaposition.
Underneath? The same.

Comes
In many forms, and
Begins
When you are born,
To this world
Of misery,
And jubilation, yes,
They do coexist,
And are stable
A match made in
Heaven, they say
Though it’s quite
Possible, some are
Astray, lost beyond the
Dunes of hope
Yet,
They too
Will find their way
Back to a joyous heart
Before they
Depart this plane
And watch the pain
Melt away
Know though,
You may stay
On this plane, and
Find a release
From your birthright
Of pain
And, yes,
It does
Take days to
Conceive of the
Proper place
To set down
Your burden
Yet,
Also know
There are places
Found for such excursions
Within
So, take the
Time needed, and
Dive deep toward
Your center
Where your pain is
Like a lost treasure,
Residing, and,
Maybe too, hiding,
Awaiting an
Uncovering
A freeing
Among the rest, so
Don’t be beset,
Go into your pain,
And let it rain
Until
The day
Comes to say
All is as it should be,
And wave goodbye
to it all
Letting go,
Of the pain
You’ve been carrying
With forestalled
Anticipation, and
Clever precipitation,
Be as it may,
Your pain, my dear, will
Eventually go away

Blue
The ocean
During the night
Glistening in the light
Stars
In the event you don’t know, this poem is called an Elfje. As you know, I started writing both haikus and tanka’s recently, and am excited about venturing into another poetry medium with the Elfje.
According to the Elfje rules, the fourth sentence is supposed to be about yourself in relation to the person or object. Though I did not follow that rule in this poem, I wanted to share it anyway, as I liked the way it turned out.
Alright, that’s all for now. Have a lovely Sunday, everyone.

The absence of thought,
Like a dew drop in repose.
Floats away, not caught.
I relish each moment with
Memory and vision, both.

Is in the eye
Of the beholder,
Is that what they say?
Hm, well, if I may
Add to that last stanza
A few considerations
Upon which you may
Stand,
Or fall back from,
It is your choice, of course.
Beauty
Is everywhere, upon
Everything, and within everyone,
There is not a
Particle left untouched
By the magnificence
Of this Universe,
It just is as
Such.
Therefore, if ever
There comes a
Time, when
You are
In
Doubt about the beauty
That is you, and is
Within you,
Pause,
And reflect, don’t
Object to a
Standard
Created
By
Other people,
Who see beauty
As something foreign
To themselves.
A thing living inside
Their heads,
Not in reality.
Instead, stand tall,
And watch them
All fall about,
As you
Gathered
With poise, and grace,
Lift your head high, and,
Always meet their eye.
Knowing, your beauty,
Is that of the Universe,
Given to you to behold
And mold,
Just as you are,
Like a star
Dancing in the heavens,
My dear,
No matter what you’ve
Been told.

Waves crash on the beach,
Salty mist blows from the west.
Night turns into day.

I look out
At the deep blue sky
And often wonder why
You confided in me
As you did,
When we were just
Getting to know each
Other,
and then, like
Twins
We emerged,
On the other side
Without a care,
or even a reason why,
or what
The trouble was
All about, as we tried
Hard to understand the
Turn about
Or, is it, turn of phrase?
Either way,
though unsure today,
I think we like to play
In the sandbox,
Like when we were little,
And all the pleasure
Was contained in that
Small space, where
Nothing is ever replaced,
Only gained
Like flying
through outer space
When I’m with you,
It’s like a running flame
Without a place,
Or name
And it’s really all just
about the same
As before,
Even when we look
For the reason it all happened,
We need not look far,
Or doubt the indecision,
For we’re exactly where
We’re supposed to be
And, yes life is fair,
And then not
And this, right here,
Is what we’ve got
For now,
Yet you know, we’ll return
With more of the essence
Of the reminiscence
Of times when
They were
Pleasant

Trail winds to the right,
Closed at first, and then open.
Beautiful.

A lovely hike today at the William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge just outside of Corvallis, OR. Such a lovely day. I added a few more of the pictures I took below. And, well, that was my one thing this afternoon.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

Slowly, the rain falls,
we rejoice in the moment.
And then it is gone.
I await, the next moment
Feeling frenzied with delight.

A meadow landscape,
Flower, just like a skyscraper.
Bee alights, then night.
