roses fill the sky
with the fragrance of the tide
as petals sing to the moon
under the canopy of our afternoon
know
there’s always been a piece of me in you
a mirror or two
reflects back our love
while we climb the ladder of chaos
still embossed
with an evening of frost
as we set off
on a journey to reclaim our love lost

the sky’s canopy lives in my mind,
restless at any given moment,
yet with the blue
contained
inside
of
this torment, transformation occurs, giving
way to stars that line my veins,
and suns that linger
inside
my
eyes for days
it is
the nature
of life’s canopy
on display
within the heart of you and I, if
we learn to love the pain,
and give it
away
while refreshing ourselves in the sun and stars
of another day…

waves break over my heart, as
a realization
dawns
about the clouds
I’ve traveled near
and far
it’s as if the sky
has always
called
me
from the very
start
drawing me closer, I listen,
and learn about the
moisture
within my
veins
it was
always cloistered
yet clearing the pain kept at bay,
opens me up, like
the sky
after a torrential rain…

the rising tide
glides
as I surmise
the nature
of the
feelings serpentine…
coiled
throughout
my entire being,
just as I’m feeling
the breeze
overwhelm me,
one wave at a time…
I consider
love…and,
the feelings
that arise,
just like
the sun
rising
over a benevolent sky…
The sky is full
of stars, and
as we gaze up,
and wonder why,
a pattern
of constellations emerge,
reminiscent
of all that we’ve purged.
The lost stories that
peek from behind
the moving clouds,
of love,
of life, and
treasured bruises that
paved our path.
A hope,
and knowing
from long ago,
just like the stars
we see,
timeless, and
beyond the dream,
so we continue
into the unforeseen.
I stroll the contours
of a hanging rainbow, letting the taste of beautiful
tragedies linger on my breath,
and icy winds cut through my weight
of woes.
I want to know now
what hope feels like,
and devour drops of peace,
because …. nothing lasts forever,
even the darkness, one day, will cease.

breathe in the last of night, and
wait, the sky aflame.
I look up,
And wonder
Why, for it’s
Always You
In the sky,
Your
Stars burn
Bright, like dew
Drops in the mist
Of all that’s
Forgotten,
And remembered
For it’s both
On which
We are dependent
Even in times
Where Your clouds
Are playing hide
And seek,
With me,
It’s always You
That I can and
Do see,
Written in the
Language of love
And compassion
For all
Of us, here,
Awaiting Your
Passionate embrace
Like a star kissed
Gaze upon
Our face
Tenderly calling
Us home, into
Your arms, full of
Grace
