gossamer tree

I mourn you
even though your presence is
near

a mist, cycling on this plane
of ice

thin
and brittle, like a heart
cusped

with love incomplete

the world
sings to you out of fear

while you wander aimlessly
coping

with harsh realities

felt
beneath a toadstool of pain, which
blossoms when least
expected

and stings, just
like the gossamer tree

heart’s home

I look to the east, and west
wondering

when I last saw them

the fireflies

they come out, now and again
instead
I

count the stars in the sky
to remain calm
and

sip from the joy, within
my inner
balm

relinquishing
the fear
residing in my heart’s home

heart’s home was inspired by the poem Fireflies by Punam.

trepidation arising

I find you in the sun, and stars
and

in the trepidation, arising with the dawn

a feeling
like a cold, and misty day
awaiting our time

to dance
with the day

while watching the birds, back and forth
sway

rainbow hues

pain arises when I’m folded
and tired

of resting my head on the wind

I often wonder about nature
and the canopies of gold so thin

and lush

they come to me
when I’m anxiety ridden
and flush from within

a heart, I have

in the moon
with as many cracks and crevices too

Can you see them reflected back at you?

I can too.

they are blue, with marigold hues

a rainbow of colors
and images

reminding me of our youth

Moon’s Dust, Published at MasticadoresIndia

I am so pleased to announce that my poem, Moon’s Dust, is now available at MasticadoresIndia. Thank you to Terveen Gill, and the team at MasticadoresIndia for their continued support, and for publishing this piece.

Moon’s Dust

drips drop from the top of a
stopwatch

as the minutes until we meet cascade
over my heart

watching the fear depart

say you’ll love me until the last act of the art…

I would be honored if you would go here and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!
