rainbow hues

pain arises when I’m folded
and tired

of resting my head on the wind

I often wonder about nature
and the canopies of gold so thin

and lush

they come to me
when I’m anxiety ridden
and flush from within

a heart, I have

in the moon
with as many cracks and crevices too

Can you see them reflected back at you?

I can too.

they are blue, with marigold hues

a rainbow of colors
and images

reminding me of our youth

Moon’s Dust, Published at MasticadoresIndia

I am so pleased to announce that my poem, Moon’s Dust, is now available at MasticadoresIndia. Thank you to Terveen Gill, and the team at MasticadoresIndia for their continued support, and for publishing this piece.

Moon’s Dust

drips drop from the top of a
stopwatch

as the minutes until we meet cascade
over my heart

watching the fear depart

say you’ll love me until the last act of the art…

I would be honored if you would go here and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!

butterfly sensations

stones fall from my eyes
holding my breath, I try

to understand the fields of sorrow
before me

while the image of you lingers in the streams
of tumbleweed

we’ve deemed, a point in the past that seems
like a memory, in between

the one, two, and three tests that come on fast

while I continue to hold my last breath

fear begins to arise
a swelling and butterfly sensation in times of trepidation cries

as I finally exhale a sigh
and the love within me begins to fly

purple tears

purple colors fill the sky
a mixture of violet and lavender

like tears that have dried

they crumble through my pores
leaking a love that’s lived through more

than this man can define
the last time I faced these truths
I cried and cried

yet
knowing this truth today
my fear subsides

and sits in my heart
where love always resides
