guide unknown

painted hills and magenta skies
call to me

to see
all that I once believed

as lollipops arise in your eyes
a special place in my heart

they do reside

inside
the love that goes out with the tide

and mingles with the salt and stone
a guide unknown

to those that know, a place called home

open sea

sitting in the open sea
watching the tide rescue the myriad

relations of me

my heart transcends the fibrous moon
as crawling beneath the flowers

I bloom

looking toward another aspect of truth
the fragrance of turmoil and pain still strewn

while glistening in the rain
are you

mi amor

the moon swings into view
as the relations of me become you

wandering no more, I implore

you from the dance floor
a chore

among the rabble we’ve come to adore

wondering about the nature of love lost
in between the songs sung and hung on the door

Can you imagine the depths of the seas mi amor?

I can too.

know they remind me of just how much I love you

Midnight’s Dream

There was a time when sandalwood dawned the day, I remember the blood and sweat, and all the fallen decay.

The night was darker than anyone’s remembrance of our plight. It was as if the sea had crested over the town, leaving in its wake, no sound.

A tinkling in the air was all that was left.

A regard for fairy’s, we used to jest.

In between the tall trees, and the grassy leaves, we spent the summer in midnight’s dream; and, just when I thought darkness might envelop the entire world, a kiss from you sent me toward the light, unfurled.

Emerging from beyond the dream, did we; as stars rained down, and we caught love, watching it bourgeon like the sun.

Do you remember, hon?

It was our first starry night, two lovers underneath a canopy of brilliance, their life barely begun.
