babbling brook

I passed a white oak once
which spoke
about hopes, and
tropes

dished out long ago

an amusing
and configurative challenge
laid out beside

a stream

where
you will always find me

contemplating
the chaos of dreams

and, the world of gravity
holding

me down

even when I want to rise

though, I now realize
it’s up to me to choose another stage

of life, of love

where the sun comes up
inside my heart
and in the veins of the babbling brook

sunshine enchantment

flowers look through me
to you

telling tales of enchantments
rare, and at times

hard to scale
yet, I seek solace in the diamonds of your eyes

remembering, the sunshine

living in the stream of you and me
is proof

of the sacred and serene, our ultimate
truth

of a love so pristine

rock
splinters wood,
and you tried
as hard
as you could

in each instance

a different
set of circumstances,
presented, just as
the flower
reminds me
of the love in forever

we daydream,
and cast our nets
into the stream,
consciousness, in-between

you and me

far as it seems,
it is here,
and now, just
as it was
intended to be

a dream?

maybe, yet
does it really matter
to the flower, or
the stream…

they continue
to flower, and
continue to stream
regardless
of what comes up
on their inner screen

how serene, and

contemplative
is this dream
we call
a reality
of all
that we’ve gleaned

of a love so pristine
