beneficence and loam

the desert has a feel
which cascades like water

an essence
pre-manifestation

awaiting
your heart, and mind
to connect

makinging sense
of the known, and unknown

a sensibility, and notion
of mist and tone, saddlebag-brown
bestowed

from the heavens, awashed and attuned
to the gifts

delivered
upon our beneficence
and loam

beneficence and loam was inspired by the poem The Desert Dance by Cindy Georgakas.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 22: The butterfly effect, by Komaljeet Kaur

A golden butterfly
lurks in dark passageways
where walls never age.
Gloomy ivory green leaves
gleam in dark
as the never old,
and always immortal butterfly
kisses the feet of rose petals;
that are shackled to the past of the known and the Unknowns.
Butterfly dances
on her feet, as the first snow of the year
melts the memory
of him; holding her hand on the roughest day of 2016.
A pink laughter lies to her eyes.
Pain engulfs the joy that was never hers.
Irony lies in her lies,
time slices the old wounds open.
Pain and love
compromises on the edge of void of tarnished dreams.
The butterfly dies at an untimely hour and she thus rises from the ashes of past.

The butterfly effect was inspired by the poem Butterfly Love. You can read more of Komaljeetโ€™s poetry at flavoured poetry.

October Sky

an October sky
cold, with stars speaking
an age of reason

to the moon

the leaves continue to fall
with emotions bound
together

like my heart

broken and chasmed
yet stitched tight

with threads formed of light

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 21: Tuned Impulse, by Anca Horga

Inhale deeply
As you remember
Precious dreams
Your silky bud
Used to keep unfolded in the core.

Hold your breath,
Awaken the impulse
Residing in the love
Felt by your senses
While playing and creating.

Exhale to manifest
The rhythm of your heartbeat
Tuning to the sound of the wind
Whirling through the golden leaves
Dancing at your feet.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 20: Orange Sky, by Cassa Bassa

tonight the moon is blue
hung high over the ocean tide
murmuring love tunes
to stir up the calm water
within me

this blue flame
licking my already burning skin
reminds me of the orange Sky
we lay under

the texture of your shyness
the layers of my wanting
peeling off the first blooms
of our love
and eternal desire

Orange Sky was inspired by the poem Blue Moon. You can read more of Cassaโ€™s poetry at Flicker of Thoughts.

Winter Blossoms

I wake up
and walk along the lonely trail

made out of
crushed fragments of love

for sale

dwindling
in the night sky
these eyesโ€ฆ

I would be honored if you would go here, and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 19: Fruitful, by Grace Y. Estevez – Reddy

I find my way into your arms,
nip bits of cherry from cupped palms.
Red apple hearts, deliver charm,
entwined with a love that feels calm.
Fluorescent rains provide displays,
hydrating bodies crown to roots.
Endless arrays of sunny days,
of flowers blooming joyful fruits.

Euphoric bells, whispering chimes,
orchards of daydreams come alive.
Chills up my spine, journey through time,
travel past space so nature thrives.

a chrysalis

I walk down the street
watching
the mist fall from the sky

a deluge, and
remembrance of another time

emotions

carry me forward, and
across the horizon
line

a butterfly

inspiration
wells in my chest
remembering my parents, and the kids
they once
were

inside of a particular context

working hard, tired
eyes

telling
stories about the challenges, and
joys

of life, like a chrysalis

they always tried, and gave out
every ounce

of the love they felt
in their hearts and minds

a chrysalis was inspired by the poem The Butterfly Poet, by Paula Light.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 18: Stay Away, by Spriha Kant

You stay away from her.
She has buried her love for you inside the coffin
for you always pierced her psyche.
You stay away from her.

You stay away from her.
Stop straining your eyes in staring at her
for she will not reciprocate this.
Stop straining your brain in wondering
whether her love for you still illuminates
inside her.
Stop contemplating the distance of
light years between you and her
as you as callous as a white sun
and she as mellowing as the moon
could never be a solution
miscible
glistening with love and joy.
You stay away from her.

You stay away from her.
Stop pretending to burn in regret
like a plank of wood in a fire
for you didnโ€™t even shiver once
while flaring your bellows on her
when she was with you.
You stay away from her.

You stay away from her.
Celebrate you are off the hook.
You stay away from her.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 17: The Resurrection of Red, by Camellia

When was the last time
We turned the pages of our photo album?
Our memories changed colors,
Stripped of its blues, the red walked aloneโ€ฆ
A haunting in lavender, the mountain shook
As our watery hearts created a world,
Trapped between latitudes and longitudesโ€ฆ
Emerald leaves, signed with secrets,
Flew in the windโ€ฆ
I guess you were always like a quiet forest,
And I was the sun that shined through you,
Blinded by my own lightโ€ฆ
Eyes closed, mind opened at last,
I surrender to your empty canopyโ€ฆ
Riseโ€ฆ

The Resurrection of Red was inspired by the poem Lavender Sheds. You can read more of Camelliaโ€™s poetry on Twitter here.
