of their own,
petals, sepals, and
stamen, sewn, with
dewdrops of compassion shown
all
held together
in a gentle reposeโฆ

I am so pleased to announce that my poem, Dance Away the Day, is now available at MasticadoresIndia. Another big thank you to Terveen Gill, and the team at MasticadoresIndia for their continued support, and for publishing this piece.
Dance Away the Day
as a tear
escapes my eye,
I resist
even more,
not wanting
to face
the deluge
needing
to pour forth
gritting
my teethโฆ
I would be honored if you would go here and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!

looking to the sky, I see wisps of dreams pass by,
hung to clouds, and curled up tight inside
they drift and float, as the land and sea
continue to roam, we
search far and wide, and continue to try,
clutching at dreams, portrayed in the mirrors
magic display, seenโฆ
a reflection, and refraction, of lifeโs mysterious
contradictions of mind, gleanedโฆyet
stillness continues to elude us, as we hang our dreams
on the clouds that pass by, and search for meaning
outside, still
as day turns to night, and
the clouds disappear from sight,
the light burning on the horizon, bright,
reminds us
of the love we feel deep insideโฆ

apart, a distance kept, past regret,
and other mysterious combinations of lives lived
instead
the love of a lifetime, and beyond all lifelines,
blossoms, as we touch the sky, with hearts filled with
love and joy
once, we bid adieu, not knowing whether our paths
would cross again, we, two
souls separated by circumstance, now fly high,
transparency by design, seeing each other
for the first time, we rely, and
cross the crowded city center, enter each
others arms, hold close, as the
stars align
and we kiss time goodbyeโฆ.

love lost and unadorned, yet remembered, and
stored, for itโs you, Iโve always adoredโฆ
like butterflies have wings, you always see me,
as I am, not another iteration of a dream
romance
making my towards you, raising through the seas
of possibility, and tranquility, I look forlorn
at times
yet, know
youโre always there with a helpful hand, guiding me,
through ordeals trivial, and those most plentiful,
and mystical
remembering this, gives way to a love
deep within
like sap running through the veins of a tree,
my heart pumps love throughout my
beings entirety
holding it in place, creating a soft and textured space,
for our loving escapeโฆ
The opening line to this poem, and thus the entire poem, was inspired by a wonderful poem, titled November, by Simmi, of Rose-Colored Glasses? If youโve not yet visited Simmiโs site, and read the poetry there, please do so, it is lovely.

the veins of the earth pour
through me, as I sit quietly, contemplating
the tree, me, and all I seeโฆ
โฆI wonder if this life is really meant to be,
or, if the me I see, is simply a reflection
of the dream treeโฆ
cascading light reflects off the tree, and
I gather up memories bound underneath the sea,
and wish for another reality
where pain and pleasure go together,
like twins, conjoined in a love so tender,
kind, and altogether
reminiscent
of the mystery,
weโve spent our lives trying to out figureโฆ

I am so pleased to announce that my poem, your ever loving midst, is now available at MasticadoresUSA. A big thank you to, Gabriela Marie Milton, and the team at MasticadoresUSA for their continued support, and for publishing this piece.
your ever loving midst
eyes,
shining bright,
just like the stars
on the clearest night
when you
first
came into
viewโฆ
I would be honored if you would go here and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!

drinking in the sea water, I hear the bell toll, and,
indeed, itโs my heart you stole
with a second glance, just the kind of romance,
making stories appear
much more than circumstanceโฆ
I give my heart to you, as you walk from the sand,
into a land, ill-defined,
and yet, part of the current storylineโฆ
waiting with bated breath,
your hand again clasps mineโฆand
in that moment, we realize,
just how much love is left in the world
when weโre togetherโฆ
is divineโฆ

I look into your eyes, and see
reflections of our shared historyโฆ
a puppy once, around the house you trounced,
with joyfulness in your heart, a beautiful dance,
as the birds swayed in the breeze, and looked on entrancedโฆ
as you grew taller, I followed your lead, and
led a life full of joy and pain, both, yet
either way, when I returned from the day
there you were, ready to play, no dismay, only
love in your heart center on full displayโฆ
an ode to you, on this day, I do then write
of your birth on this most beautiful nightโฆ
I sing a song to you of love, passion,
and, though we had our struggles,
in the end, our relationship was ultimately full
of the most blissful compassionโฆ

I skip over puddles, one, two, three,
in the mirror images, I see, you
refracted back at meโฆ
always loving and kind, despite the pain
sitting on the surface
of our contoured purpose,
reaching deep within,
looking amongst the worn out travelers, sin
arises, seems raw, and depletes me againโฆ
tired, and tortured, I look to the earthโs very nature, for a sense of purpose
realizing
the feelings, and thoughts, go against the grain
like the trees, bare, and scorched of their outer skins, while flayed and portrayed
in the myriad contexts,
where love is at the center, not grim,
more compassionate, to the travelers
making their way
towards the light of another dayโฆ
