I am so pleased to announce that my poem, Placid Sea, is now available at MasticadoresIndia. Thank you to Terveen Gill, and the team at MasticadoresIndia for their continued support, and for publishing this piece.

Placid Sea

The moon, a placid
sea, reflecting back

a mantra
of meaning

watching the sunset
along a coast, depleted and
dry

tears leakโ€ฆ

I would be honored if you would go here, and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!

October Sky

an October sky
cold, with stars speaking
an age of reason

to the moon

the leaves continue to fall
with emotions bound
together

like my heart

broken and chasmed
yet stitched tight

with threads formed of light

hope’s truth

I walk along the streets

a desolate
and desperate domain
filled

with shadowed pain

in the alleyways, and
along the riverfront

whispers

brought forth
turning my stomach end over end

like butterflies

arising again
under the brisk, and breezy moon
I see you

hopeโ€™s friend

our one and only truth

hopeโ€™s truth was inspired by the poem Hot Ashes, by Benjamin Nambu.

Submissions are still open for the Nature Speaks of Love and Sorrow: 30 Poems in 30 Days Collaboration. The submission details are located here.

the moon’s cusp

grass seed reminds me of
the inevitability

of time

skipping through fields, dusty
and wheat filled

as I grow through the earthโ€™s crust, learning
Iโ€™m just enough

of the magic living inside the moonโ€™s cusp

relating to me, another aspect
of the you

I see

it comes to me
while I lean into the garden of being

and transcend the pain Iโ€™ve been feeling

mi amor

the moon swings into view
as the relations of me become you

wandering no more, I implore

you from the dance floor
a chore

among the rabble weโ€™ve come to adore

wondering about the nature of love lost
in between the songs sung and hung on the door

Can you imagine the depths of the seas mi amor?

I can too.

know they remind me of just how much I love you

Moonโ€™s Dust

drips drop from the top of a
stopwatch

as the minutes until we meet cascade
over my heart

watching the fear depart

say youโ€™ll love me until the last act of the artโ€ฆ

I would be honored if you would go here and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!

rose sky

roses fill the sky
with the fragrance of the tide

as petals sing to the moon
under the canopy of our afternoon

know

thereโ€™s always been a piece of me in you

a mirror or two
reflects back our love

while we climb the ladder of chaos

still embossed
with an evening of frost

as we set off
on a journey to reclaim our love lost

the moonlit curve

fireflies sparkle like dust
reminding me of dancing chimes
lingering in the sun

they arise like a wildflower in
bloom

can you imagine the fear consumed?

walking into the waves
as they come in
we bask in a love that has never been

while the taste of your scent fills the room
and I hear you call

from the moon

whispering to me softly
I gather my nerves

and walk straight into the moonlit curve

petals made of love

I sit atop the river delta, wondering about
the scene

it is a
myriad
in-between

the light
casting off
in the distance
playing with theโ€ฆ

The Moon’s Lullaby, Published at MasticadoresUSA

I am so pleased to announce that my poem, The Moonโ€™s Lullaby, is now available at MasticadoresUSA. Thank you to Gabriela Marie Milton, and the team at MasticadoresUSA for their continued support, and for publishing this piece.

The Moonโ€™s Lullaby

moon night, I shine,
bottomless love is divineโ€ฆ

I had a conversation with the moon once. It was long ago, during a mist-covered evening, I was feeling quite lonely, and out of the ordinary. That evening the moon shined brighter than Iโ€™d ever seen.

It did almost feel likeโ€ฆ

I would be honored if you would go here, and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!
