Existence Bared

I saw you once from across the room
you were there, and not.
A cataclysmic revival, and rejuvenation
found in your essence
and in your presence. Though I didnโ€™t know it then
it was only a matter of time
until we began
to move in a more choreographed way. Confiding
in each other felt like times before.
These previous lifetimes, and planes
of existence bared in the soul
between two lovers
knowing all along theyโ€™ve done it before.

Whatโ€™s New with Me

All is very well here, super busy and engaged across many projects, both personal and professional.

Due to these obligations, I am going on an indefinite hiatus. I will stop by and see all of you as I am able, and will post occasionally, yet there will be no real pattern or schedule to my posting and engagement.

I will continue to write, and submit work for publication, and I will let you know if any of those submissions result in new publications.

I also plan to continue to submit occasionally to MasticadoresUSA.

I wish you all well, and send you all of my love.

Jeff

cascading horizon

I wake up to you
you remind me of the brilliance
of afternoon sunsets
and

of morning dew
cascading

over a horizon filled
with pain, and with healing

a presence of colors, ambiguous
yet just enough
to

fill the space
left

by the absence of your touch

My time at the coast is always precious to me. Early morning walks along the beach provide a space for deep reflection and contemplation. This year, I stayed at a small little motel right on the oceanfront. Amazing views from my room, and easy access to the beach, where walking for miles is possible. Beautiful, invigorating, and peaceful.

Wishing you a wonderful week.

All my love and blessings,

Jeff

exhaling love

my heart bleeds my love for you
a reminiscence

and oft felt presence

the touch
of you close, holding memories more than
most

the scent of you filling our room, before
we felt the need to say
adieu

and, upon your return
the sound of your breath

exhaling the words

I love you

exhaling love was inspired by the poem Forevermore, by Kirsten Curcio.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 8: By the Ocean, by Daphny

As the sun rose
we were still by the shore,
just us; you and I

the tide passing through us

no dusk nor dawn
neither the oceans roar
could make us leave

as we got lost in each otherโ€™s embrace

the ocean starts to calm
even the sun shined through the storms
as a new chapter of us unfold

when the sun raised by the ocean.

By the Ocean was inspired by the poem Ocean and Sand. You can read more of Daphnyโ€™s poetry at The Introvert Writer.

Submissions are still open for the Nature Speaks of Love and Sorrow: 30 Poems in 30 Days Collaboration. The submission details are located here.

helios of pain

birds fly through the sky
as in my heart, our love always resides

flittering
and mistaking a beat or two
for a remedy made of oranges that are blueโ€ฆ

I would be honored if you would go here, and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!

cherry blossoms

grapes grow in the sky
while I rely upon the love living

inside
the blossoming cherry trees

they always seem so deliciously vibrant
and in touch with you and me

a love thatโ€™s lasted centuries
fills me with a smile, a glee

handed to me, you see?

a sunny afternoon, sitting among the flower beds

I digress, and dress in roses,
my best

laid suit
by the sunโ€™s eyes, disguised

as I learn of the stars in your heart

while a love to me, at last
they impart

mi amor

the moon swings into view
as the relations of me become you

wandering no more, I implore

you from the dance floor
a chore

among the rabble weโ€™ve come to adore

wondering about the nature of love lost
in between the songs sung and hung on the door

Can you imagine the depths of the seas mi amor?

I can too.

know they remind me of just how much I love you

until the sun

I stand in line to buy lemons and limes
while reminiscing on the
times

enthralled and divined
while feelings keep coming up

Iโ€™ve tried to stopโ€ฆ

I would be honored if you would go here to read the rest of my poem. Thank you!

radiance wild

trepidation is a trickle of dew
upon a flower sitting kindly

in the afternoon sun

long and lovely
bending towards the warmth of your smile

a radiance wild

nesting inside my heart
weaved of colors long and short

blues, lavenders, and pinks, always remind me of you

a rainbow festival calls
while I linger in the shadows petals
and their beautiful hues

falling from the sky
a love canopy goes by

dropping the essence of our love
purely divined

and oft remembered during these most magical of times

a gentle touch

passion lives in the wind
and in every pocket of your skin

just as magic resides
in our hearts and minds

Do you remember how it felt when kindness reigned the night?

love burned brighter than itโ€™s ever been
caressing every tree limb

while dripping with a gentle touch
itโ€™s just enough

to know you are there, and I am here

waiting upon your kiss carried on the wind
like seeds floating through the atmosphere

the membrane between you and I becomes thin
