let our love be displayed

unseen
are the trees,
that live so long
in-between, the myriad
noise and clatter,
of the unsuspecting dream

rooted
in place,
they wait, silently
drawing strength from
the majesty pouring forth,
from the earth’s very core

touched
by the clay beneath,
they reach for the sky,
and listen for our lullaby

to begin
again

as
we coalesce
beside their very best,
and remind ourselves
they are of nature,
and, our makers very best

for,

it is within
our hearts, that lives
the truest test

of
our resilience
to match
their guidance,
alongside a millennia
of previous trauma

which,

though
continues today,
let us please pray

and, give thanks
on this day,
for the beauty
living inside
the trees dismay,
not often
enough conveyed

yet,
often betrayed,
so, let our love
be displayed

our Motherly homestead

wind caresses
my soul, like a
tapestry, impossible
to hold

I let the sounds,
drown,
my inner-dialogue,

and, focus
instead,

on the beauty
in front of me,
of a thousand
bled

journeys,
human misery, and
cunning,
tread

with skies,
so red

and, yes,

baffling
to the eye, when
we don’t
even
try

hard enough,

to take care of
the planets
lullaby,
beautiful
read,

and,

sung
so softly to us
since the
cradle
was made, and
we laid down for
our first
song-related fable

which, leaves me

wondering
now
about
humanities
current thread,

so ask,

may we now
please
portend
less,

leaving
aside
the disrespect,
and, instead

reflect,
and disregard abject,
in favor of love-
born respect
for our Motherly
homestead?

within our hearts protection

I point to each
star I see,
wanting to believe
in more

something
beyond the scope
of my
current
ability to cope

with the loss
in my heart,
living there like
a mirage that comes
upon us all at once,
and we stop,

stare, and deeply
revel in a dream
for something
more to be seen…

waiting,
watching,
wondering,
if what we see
is reality, or just
as it seems

blurry, through
the tears that fill
my eyes
continuously,

I seek

shelter,
from the field
of dancing projections
that live within
my minds limited
perfection

and,
the
paradox?

also living
within our heart,
is a capacity
beyond our ability
to comprehend,
so at times, we
pretend
to not notice, yet

the

mobility,
and nobility

once seen
on a movie
screen, now coming
home,
to you and me,

is so wondrous,
we pause, breathe
in the healing
presence, and realize
that all of life’s
dejections,
and, reflections,
live within our hearts
protection

wash away all the fears

the sky bleeds
each day,
renewing
itself in its journey,
which, yes,
is sometimes
frayed around
the edges, and is also
pure warmth
in its acceptance

of
a knowing
we hold
deep inside,
which,
reminds us to

look
to the sky, in
times of worry,
knowing we shall
see all of ourselves
in the glory we behold
on an early morning

sun rising,
golden delight,
washing the daytime
woes away,
with a single brushstroke
of warmth,
and rays,

filling the volumes
of our souls
with an everlasting
energy, and healing presence,
especially when
we are
feeling sad, and
so diminished

so,

when we
are quaking, and
in need of safety,
remember,
to look up, and
allow the light
to enter
your heart,

and
wash away
all the fears that
we continue to
hold dear

heart and mind become one

as the leaf falls
from the tree,
and tumbles
end over end
towards the earth,
I’m reminded,
of love, and
loss, and
all the things
in life we hold close
to heart and wish to
never depart.

yet,
we know all things
are fleeting,
even this feeling
I have, as I’m writing
this poem,
sitting, and
whimsically
staring at the screen,
as one word
appears, and then
another,
and then they disappear
from heart, and
mind, one
after the other,

and then?

another
feeling and
knowing comes,
and heart and mind
become one.

Our Souls Collective Being

wish upon a star
dropped down
from afar,
passed knowing, being,
and our collective
pleading.

lands
beyond time,
space,
and all the rest
of our misgivings’

trace

us back to here,
now,
watching, learning,
loving, and as
we keep trudging, we
realize the truth
about

ourselves
in the process
of becoming.

a flower unfolds,
it’s heart bared
for you to see,
mirroring the majesty
of a moment
typically unseen.

resting
in this knowing,
we accept
and also protect
the myriad of
destinies,
written upon
the wall of time
with the essence
of our souls
collective being.

The Moonlights Kiss

fingers glide
along the edges
of the velvety landscape
while
wishing upon a star
for all those who have died
and come before

dreams larger
than life itself
seeded
when young
and
given the proper care
while
attended with love
and devotion
their utmost bared

connection
to the landscape
so clear
it’s as if the sky
has opened up
and given itself to me
as a gift

sun shining down
petals an afterglow of
revelry
and
the mysterious
challenges
we face
hidden
along the lines
we trace

leaving behind
shadows dancing
while
attracting
the moonlight’s
kiss
upon our
collective
face

Not Beyond Repair

Head under water,
necessitates
another way of being,
while the paradox of life
keeps on playing.

Hard to breathe,
lungs burning,
heart aching,
all the while,
the mind
keeps

straying.

Tears fall,
while hope
lingers
along my fingers.

A subtle touch,
and feeling returns
to the essence
of my being.

While drenched
in my solitude,
the connection
remains
among you.

Like the birth
of a flower,
time is now
flourishing
without heartache
or sorrow.

And,

as time skips a beat,
love finds me,
cradles me
with care,
and in that moment,
I know,
I’m not beyond repair.
