#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 17: The Resurrection of Red, by Camellia

When was the last time
We turned the pages of our photo album?
Our memories changed colors,
Stripped of its blues, the red walked aloneโ€ฆ
A haunting in lavender, the mountain shook
As our watery hearts created a world,
Trapped between latitudes and longitudesโ€ฆ
Emerald leaves, signed with secrets,
Flew in the windโ€ฆ
I guess you were always like a quiet forest,
And I was the sun that shined through you,
Blinded by my own lightโ€ฆ
Eyes closed, mind opened at last,
I surrender to your empty canopyโ€ฆ
Riseโ€ฆ

The Resurrection of Red was inspired by the poem Lavender Sheds. You can read more of Camelliaโ€™s poetry on Twitter here.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 16: Divine Flight, by Jaya Avendel

I curve toward the milky way

A bird on aliferous wing

Threads cut from cabaret stocking trace

Patterns onto my skin.

The silver bell chimes sharp and mournful

I celebrate the ascendance toward divine

Goddess of love opens the way to heaven

Her blood red rose and sunset eyes

Invite me in.

Cosmic garden blossoms from bone

Water lily rides the coattails of the moon

When I inhale, I taste the world.

It sings to me.

Divine Flight was inspired by the poem Cosmic Arts. You can read more of Jayaโ€™s poetry at Nin Chronicles.

paradoxical serenade

I walk through flower fields
feeling of
home

where we once met

long ago

the cattail tops, and butterflies
float in air

transfixed, and
in awe

I compare
the blood running through veins

and the nature
of name

this

a paradoxical serenade

paradoxical serenade was inspired by the poem My Blood, by Eunice Aformanor.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 15: Love to Love, Stays, by Dawn Minott

Love wonโ€™t leave when love asks for more of it
Love to love, stays
For
Love is a delicate yet strong dance
Of push and pull
A determined yet dual-minded commitment
Of will and endurance
A resolute giver yet receiver
Of affection and affirmation
An illogical yet survivalist twist
Of with and without
A choreographed yet tethered balance
Of give and take
A resolute yet discerning choice
Of stay not stray
Love wonโ€™t leave when love asks for more of it
Love to love, stays

loves fragrance

I sit on the steps of my home
a blessing
renowned and re-known

to me, this gentle feeling
comes
with its own scents, a mystery

and
a reminiscence of being
in touch

with you
and the conversation created

from
the depths of your heart

always leaving this gift
you impart

the fragrance of love

wafting through the air, like
lemons and limes, and
the other citrus

you loved to share
with those

you worked so hard to prepare

loveโ€™s fragrance was inspired by the poem Winter Sunshine and You, by Sadje.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 13: Flint and Feathers, by Lisa Walker

My home is a valley of flint and feathers.
My understanding of life
smooth-polished over the ages.
The spark in my heart ignited to flame
and left to glow as gentle embers.
I look to the sky to see red kites circle
high above. Flashes of bronzed russet
swooping by, carrying life on the edge of a straight-arrowed tail.
As I weigh the cool, heavy certainty of stone,
with its sharp edge, in now-ageing hands;
breezed against the lofty soft-flow-freedom of feathers,
I think of you and the dream we once cradled.
The distance vast between us.
The beginning that never breathed.

Flint and Feathers was inspired by the poem Birds and Stone. You can read more of Lisaโ€™s poetry at Lisa Writes Poems. Lisa also has a debut poetry book coming out, which you can learn more about here.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 12: Forevermore, by Kirsten Curcio

My cracked heart leaks cold tears

Fears of being alone
spilled nightly across pillows

I awake to sink into sand, directionless
watching waves like mounting thoughts
as wishes of love flee my lips
silenced in morning fog
and loneliness comes home

Until you
a wish comes trueโ€ฆ

My palms welcome, embracing gold bliss
Dreams of forever fill my cracked heart
and loneliness lifts

Together, love has a home
spilled nightly across pillows
and every moment of sun
in our gentle life on the shore
moving forward as one

Forevermore

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 11: The Desert Dance, by Cindy Georgakas

Tumbleweed pulses through my veins,
of Baryshnikovโ€™s dance.

I writhe in pain as I wrap my feet and smile.

My heart races as the heat of the desert scorches within

searching for an opening

my gut twisted in knots as I breathe in the beauty of the cholo cactus that runs through my spine out my crown Chakra,

reminiscent of the heavens I find within
you and me.

I take a bow to the audience and the vista-blowing tumbleweed that sweeps my heart to love that opens to the heavens.

#NatureSpeaks: 30 #Poems in 30 Days โ€“ Day 10: Scattered Sakura, by C.X. Turner

I find you
in the flower
and the water

in tears of late winter
early spring comes true
gently trickling

love
flows softly, intently
rippling between us

yet scattered
sakura petalsโ€ฆ
drift with the current

ceasing to resist
integrating my present
with a smile

I find you, again

butterfly touch

pain and pleasure
often go together, a mystery

of feelings
conjured from the depths
of being

one
with the gifts bestowed
sitting transfixed

I know
the touch of butterfly wings
which

always
take me
into the night

where everything is hidden
yet

still in plain sight
reminding me

I have finally arrived

butterfly wings was inspired by the poem Love and Pain, by Peace Isama.
