Hearts’ Stone

I manifest
the past, and the present
a prompt
riddled with uneasiness
and contentment —
colors

swirling in mind
reaching underneath a heart confused
and terrified

of acting rashly
and of being understood
absently

less known, than unknown
believing in the truth
within your hearts’ stone

I am blogging less this weekend, and am off from blogging entirely next weekend, as I travel with a friend to a meditation retreat on Saturday. I will, however, catch up with all of you this weekend, and throughout the next week.

Wishing you all my best, and sending all of my love and blessings.

ghosts linger

ghosts of the past
linger

in my memory

with a sky full of love, dried
bone, and blood

which come

by land and sea, this onslaught
always pervades me

as I watch
the trees sway back and forth
remembering

the truth about this paradoxical life course

stone colored glass, Published at MasticadoresUSA

I am pleased to announce that my poem, stone colored glass, is now available at MasticadoresUSA. Thank you to Gabriela Marie Milton, and the team at MasticadoresUSA for their continued support and for publishing this piece.

stone colored glass

I often think about the past
it’s like looking through stone colored glass

hazy, and filled with trauma, a cold place
inside my chest

lingering among flowers, thought and feeling

reconcile me…

I would be honored if you would go here, and read the rest of my poem. Thank you!

marigolds rising

life breathes through my pores
like the rain in an afternoon of prose

written just before bedtime
while the love within me shines

through my heart and onto the page

with a vibrancy that is beyond
the stage

set from the past, while relations come to pass

I learn
to lean into the marigolds rising

like the masses

while learning more about my past transgressions
and the love that lives inside the ashes

wish upon the birds…

moon encrusted evening, walking among the fields
of daisies, birds circling in air, like thoughts
running through

veins,
fare and,
attention
made
bare

I dream of other lands, while grounded in the past,
and wish upon the birds, their beauty, at
times

misunderstood…

slowly, I crane toward the sky, their look is a
glimpse of magnificence, we all
should

take into
account, and
be proud of the beauty
throughout

the moments given, each one is sacred, bestowed
upon us with a love that is
thrilling
and

delightful, just like the pink hues look, as they
swallow my past, and take me towards
the present moment

at
last
it is
a stark
contrast…
