babbling brook

I passed a white oak once
which spoke
about hopes, and
tropes

dished out long ago

an amusing
and configurative challenge
laid out beside

a stream

where
you will always find me

contemplating
the chaos of dreams

and, the world of gravity
holding

me down

even when I want to rise

though, I now realize
it’s up to me to choose another stage

of life, of love

where the sun comes up
inside my heart
and in the veins of the babbling brook

I find you
in the flower
and the water

in tears of late winter
early spring comes true
gently trickling

love
flows softly, intently
rippling between us

yet scattered
sakura petals…
drift with the current

ceasing to resist
integrating my present
with a smile

I find you, again

Interview with Victoria Onofrei, Bloomsbury Radio, London; and, lavender petals

I was elated last month when Victoria Onofrei of Bloomsbury Radio sent me a message inviting me to an interview on her radio show. The interview was conducted a couple of weeks ago via Zoom. Victoria is a lovely host, and a delightful conversationalist. It was great fun.

dreams

sanguine love

emotions fill the sky
and my heart

with sanguine love
a pain, like an albatross

of hope and dismay
conjuring various realities

in some
I’m filled with anticipation
while in others

dread
is a constant companion

yet, it’s in between them both
where
a mystery comes up

from the shallow river water, to the ice caps
of the tallest mountain
tops

the shadowed, and shaded land
where the push, and pull of life’s paradoxes

gives each of us a welcoming hand

the tide

tired, and wanting to know
more

I cast my heart into the sea
and watch

as it stares back at me

winking, like the stars in the sky
making me realize

every ounce of the love we carry inside
belongs to the tide

the pages of our story…

you whispered to me once, it came through
the trees, unseen, a beautiful thing
discovered
amidst
the

flowers, and turbulent troubles, left for the moment,
like leaves falling from the sky,
you remind me
of the
why

in existences’ cry….calling to you and me, a
new whisper seen, and felt
in-between
the

pages of our story, lived, loved, and magically
created, like two dancers, entwined
in a kiss so
soft

subtleness

takes on a new form, as realization dawns, and two
hearts are, together, as one,
drawn…

​​a heart filled with love

heart opening up to new realities,
I see much more today than any other day,
when dismay was more present, the gifts all around,
did sway

in the breeze gently, head down, furious pace,
lost, and wondering where to turn about…

looking up, the sky always tried to offer solace,
and a way to stay

keeping the pain at bay,
and as

clarity dawned, after much work on heart,
and many tears did
pour forth

cleaning and cleansing all the broken parts,
offering a healing in the light, when at its darkest
was the night

a shining, there was, and meet it, I did, where
time stops, and we’re present to all we’ve done,
and give thanks to

a heart filled with love, that always was…

the love we feel on this night

the moon
speaks to me,
languages learned
through discorded earth

traveling from afar,
I quest into
the understanding shown,
close to heart, and
yet still from afar,
I’ve learnt…

…through
distances purged,
I indulge in the urge, and
request more at the moons behest,
as seeing, sees fit
to offer more,
closing the distances met

between me,
and the seas,
trees, and flowers
blooming abundantly…

realizing love
is at the center
of all things seen,
and felt in-between
the moons myriad phases,
and my truncated

belief
in this dream…for it is

in the unseen,
where life lives in this moment,
as you and I hold hands,
wish upon a star,
say goodnight to the moon,
and swoon, as delight

lights
up our hearts,
and makes space
for the love
we feel
on this
night

in full bloom…
