the desert has a feel
which cascades like water

an essence
pre-manifestation

awaiting
your heart, and mind
to connect

makinging sense
of the known, and unknown

a sensibility, and notion
of mist and tone, saddlebag-brown
bestowed

from the heavens, awashed and attuned
to the gifts

delivered
upon our beneficence
and loam

butterfly touch

pain and pleasure
often go together, a mystery

of feelings
conjured from the depths
of being

one
with the gifts bestowed
sitting transfixed

I know
the touch of butterfly wings
which

always
take me
into the night

where everything is hidden
yet

still in plain sight
reminding me

I have finally arrived

a gift from the seas

troubled times,
filled with ties, tethered,
reminding me
of the weather,
when we
were once together

chosen
to take on
the pleasure,
while you listened
from far away, forever

distant,
hard to grasp, as
we watch
the grown grass

take its time,
reaching

towards the skyline…

will it
make it,
hard to define

the
unimaginable, yet
we find solace
in the curvatures
of the world’s futures

as they
come to fruition,
we pause,
breathe, reflect,
and protect
the actions presence, our
current sentence

as, I

ask
for your hand
again,
while we’re reminded
of the sun,
behind the trees,
hiding from you and me,
yet always present,
like a gift from the seas

all the love that’s been given

beauty
abounds,
here,
there, and,
everywhere
we look, when
our eyes
finally
come into view

and,
notice

the
vastness
before us,
letting go
of the minds
preoccupation,
and
ability to
contemplate
all things, old

and, new
alike

it’s
as common
as the
treasure trove,
buried behind
the alcove

of our
heart’s desire

as
they meet
again,
and again,
in a myriad
of contemplation,
and,
we grin

in
anticipation
of the game
to begin

and, at
last,

when
unearthed,
the gifts keep
giving,
while we sit
in the presence
of all the love
that’s been given

their own gift to shed

something always
draws me
to the page,
sort of like
a moth to a flame

tiny flickering
of insight,
ignites within,
and we’re off
on a whim

Yiruma’s,
Sunset Bird
playing
on my headset,
least I forget
the inspiration
that lives on…

in this
beautiful worlds
shedding

of blessings

all-around,
which,
we can see
when we
stay present,
sound,

and
grounded
in the reality
we know
is there, even if,
and when,
we are
unawares

it’s lovely
to contemplate
our existence
on this
planet spinning
through space

round,
and,
round
we go, where
will we stop,
nobody truly knows,

yet,

there
is a knowing,
for you and I,
if we
silently abide

in
that
which we feel
on the
loneliest of nights

chilled
to the bone,
with no hand
to hold
but our own

and, even
then,
my dear friends,

know,
you are
not alone,
in this galaxy
far from
space,

as the human
connection
we share
is anything
but commonplace

each
has
their own gift
to shed,
and when
exposed to the light,
it is truly
beyond compare,
and, oh, so bright

there, there,
then,

on those
lonely nights,
we all have them,
fear, and fright,

abound,

yet
what’s
truly astounding,
is the feeling
I get when I’m
connected within,
and, to
all my friends,

and, yes,

that’s you
reading this
before
you’re off to bed

a lullaby
for you instead

sleep well,
my
dear ones,
and never forget,
time is always there,
and we are
never, ever,
second best,
only ever truly blessed

Dancing Trees

Have you ever seen
a treen
dancing brilliantly,
just as the wind
whips up and flows
gently among
the branches and
the tender fibers of it’s being,
ever so elegantly?

Walking along the sidewalk,
cracks in its façade,
breaking,
yet whole and solidifying.

The wind behind you,
moving
you forward,
just as you are pulled
into another dimension
of being;

and,

you look up
to witness
Nature smiling,
while continually
providing you
clues

to our existence,
trees dancing
in the sunlight,
glinting and radiating
their essence
of everlasting delight.

You know from within,
they are
dancing for you,
and you pause,
to take in all of their splendor,
big smile on your face,
and you laugh and giggle
just like you did
when you were little.

Oh, the joy,
of nature’s gifts
bestowed upon
us all,
it’s enough to forestall,
while you continue
to watch
them dancing,
all.

Sensitive

Some call it a weakness,
A true message of bleakness
Or even a partial meekness

And, yet, what the some fail
To witness,
Is the strength of character
Built upon a true fitness

Of Mind

Balancing the worlds
Shadow
With it’s naturally occurring
And prominent hallow

Born over time

Within each of us
Not covered up, rather
Brought to the light of
The senses, and, yes

There are consequences

Of a raw and pure beauty
Never flailing or failing
Only ever unveiling more gifts of awe

For it is these gifts of feeling, and
Seeing, always ever believing
In that which is there
A true revealing

Of a most precious healing
Which begins
With each of of us, and thus

A natural trust develops
From within you, me, and,
Well, everyone of us, which

Some may call compensative
Surely not pensative, and
Yet my friend,
I simply call it part of being, having,

And holding a life that is sensitive
