all the love that’s been given

beauty
abounds,
here,
there, and,
everywhere
we look, when
our eyes
finally
come into view

and,
notice

the
vastness
before us,
letting go
of the minds
preoccupation,
and
ability to
contemplate
all things, old

and, new
alike

it’s
as common
as the
treasure trove,
buried behind
the alcove

of our
heart’s desire

as
they meet
again,
and again,
in a myriad
of contemplation,
and,
we grin

in
anticipation
of the game
to begin

and, at
last,

when
unearthed,
the gifts keep
giving,
while we sit
in the presence
of all the love
that’s been given

life is already alight

feelings
running so deep,
it’s as if the being
calling me forth,

is interested

in fractured ways
of living,
splitting me
in two,
as I continue
to learn more
about the entry
to heavens’ door

located

on this earth,
in this moment

present
to the love within
every being, and
living thing
on this
beautiful planet
pulling me towards
them

with a fervor,
impossible
to ignore

we listen,
hear the heartache,
and,
hold the pieces
of being together
with theirs,
in a dance
of past mistakes,
future worries,
and steps one may take

while
we
call them
present
to the gift
in the stillness
of this
moment

a gift, which

requires quietness,
and listening
with all your might

drawing
upon your intention,
and an inner-knowing
that all of life
is already
alight

My heart breaks
with every
breath I take,
and though
I’ll keep moving,
there are times when
I just sit still,
and let the emotions
wash over me…

another story all its own

my feet
feel the grass
beneath me,
and inside, I
smile secretly,
and think
about the next scene

together,
joined forever, like
two lovers,
first met, when
they were young
enough to remember,
the next phase instead

of a memory

of something else,
harkening back
not so gently,
to the first time
you came into view,
and I fled

from
your embrace,
altogether longing,
yet, I just kept running,
thinking too much,
feeling not enough, and
making way on my own

shrill and stuffed

from the voluminous
calamities
that filled my mind,
and are impossible,
at times,
to deny,
and,
never
ever
to rewind,
nor find

lost, and

bleak
as it may seem
on my inner-screen,
I get up again,
let the tears come
as they may, pray,
and ask for
forgiveness each day

life is lived
inside of
you and me,
and when
we need to scream,
it’s all okay, as

the feelings come
whether
we want
them to or not,
and, in fact,
resisting,
only makes them
persist
until we’re grown

working
through them
though?

is another
story
all its own,
filled with hope
and, the glory shown

their own gift to shed

something always
draws me
to the page,
sort of like
a moth to a flame

tiny flickering
of insight,
ignites within,
and we’re off
on a whim

Yiruma’s,
Sunset Bird
playing
on my headset,
least I forget
the inspiration
that lives on…

in this
beautiful worlds
shedding

of blessings

all-around,
which,
we can see
when we
stay present,
sound,

and
grounded
in the reality
we know
is there, even if,
and when,
we are
unawares

it’s lovely
to contemplate
our existence
on this
planet spinning
through space

round,
and,
round
we go, where
will we stop,
nobody truly knows,

yet,

there
is a knowing,
for you and I,
if we
silently abide

in
that
which we feel
on the
loneliest of nights

chilled
to the bone,
with no hand
to hold
but our own

and, even
then,
my dear friends,

know,
you are
not alone,
in this galaxy
far from
space,

as the human
connection
we share
is anything
but commonplace

each
has
their own gift
to shed,
and when
exposed to the light,
it is truly
beyond compare,
and, oh, so bright

there, there,
then,

on those
lonely nights,
we all have them,
fear, and fright,

abound,

yet
what’s
truly astounding,
is the feeling
I get when I’m
connected within,
and, to
all my friends,

and, yes,

that’s you
reading this
before
you’re off to bed

a lullaby
for you instead

sleep well,
my
dear ones,
and never forget,
time is always there,
and we are
never, ever,
second best,
only ever truly blessed

layers,

takes time

finally opened up

looking out over
seas of tranquility,
never manifest,
even though I tried
my best

waiting to see,
wanting to learn,
watching the earth,
roam around my dearth

I digest more
than is possible,
all the while
the improbably
seems to find me

no matter
where
I hide the keys,
your always there

with,

just the right
instance,
forgetting
all about
my present
circumstances

taking courage

and,
a drive
that is more
than one will
combined

released, then,
years later, upon
a sea of possibility

finally found,
after ages,
while I resisted,
you persisted, gained
access

and,
showed
me the layer
upon layer of
human misery,

and,

the joy upon
joy, of human
ingenuity

ah, what

love is found
in a second act
of a life, thought
for a time broken
beyond repair,

and, yet
right there,

just then,

the brokenness
was sealed,
and delivered, as
completeness
set in

and,

the
whole world
finally opened up
to me,
through you,
and, everything,
my dear, became
so very clear

wash away all the fears

the sky bleeds
each day,
renewing
itself in its journey,
which, yes,
is sometimes
frayed around
the edges, and is also
pure warmth
in its acceptance

of
a knowing
we hold
deep inside,
which,
reminds us to

look
to the sky, in
times of worry,
knowing we shall
see all of ourselves
in the glory we behold
on an early morning

sun rising,
golden delight,
washing the daytime
woes away,
with a single brushstroke
of warmth,
and rays,

filling the volumes
of our souls
with an everlasting
energy, and healing presence,
especially when
we are
feeling sad, and
so diminished

so,

when we
are quaking, and
in need of safety,
remember,
to look up, and
allow the light
to enter
your heart,

and
wash away
all the fears that
we continue to
hold dear

contemplation magical

fine grains of sand
nestled together,
like peas in a bed,
or you and me
in our stead

contemplation
magical
is the way life
comes and goes,
and ready’s us
for the next stage
in our show

hard loving, and
living, take their
toll, as we begin
to notice
as time slows

us down

and we ready
ourselves,
for another part
of the larger parcel,
weaved together before
our eyes ever sparkled

stitches woven
with great care,
we cherish each one
in their place,
as we touch the
velvetiness
of their grace, which

lives in
our inner
heart-space

and spells, and
feels like,
anything, and
everything, but
commonplace

a heart filled to the brim

heart
beating fast,
faster,
and then faster,
slowing down
not an option,
nor is the feeling
in my gut, protracted,
and put back
together again,
without much in the way
of a knowing,
as our beautiful sun
keeps glowing

without protection,
breeze blows me
one way,
and then another,
reeling…

and,
then,
I’m feeling,

light and heavy
all at the same
time,
is this a paradox
in healing, or
is there
something else here,
and I’m just not sensitive
enough
to know it’s presence
within my heart’s beating?

breathing,
a memory,
a hint of something
in store,
stirs me from the floor,
and all at once,
I feel for

everyone,
and everything
we’ve called our home
since time’s
memory came
into
my very core

notice not coming,
and,
deep down,
the shift
in awareness
creates contemplation
once more

a sigh,
a smile, and,
the revelation
creates continuity
in being,

breathing
the awareness in,
I take all of life within,
and seal this day
with a silent prayer,
and a heart
filled to the brim
